Participants are invited to submit an abstract for presentation at HDDA-XVI, to be held in Padova, Italy, from August 31 to September 3, 2027. The scientific programme will include invited sessions, contributed oral sessions, and poster sessions. Abstract submission is required for all presentations, including invited talks.
Invited talks: Speakers who have been invited to participate in an invited session must select the relevant invited session when submitting their abstract. Abstracts submitted by invited speakers will undergo an editorial check for completeness and consistency with the scope of the assigned session.
Contributed talks: Authors submitting an independent contribution may indicate their preferred presentation format, specifying whether they would like to give an oral presentation, present a poster, or have no particular preference.
Contributed abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee on the basis of scientific quality, relevance, clarity, and fit with the workshop topics. Because the number of presentation slots is limited, an abstract submitted for a talk may be accepted as a poster. Authors may indicate during submission whether they are willing to accept this alternative. Authors need to indicate during submission whether they are willing to accept this alternative.
Abstracts must:
be written in English;
contain no more than 250 words;
include 3 to 5 keywords;
clearly state the research problem, the methodological or computational approach, and the main results or expected contribution;
be original and relevant to the topics of the workshop.
Abstracts need to be submitted through the online submission system. No PDF, Word, or LaTeX file is required.
The abstract should be entered as plain text. No tables, figures, or footnotes. Math notation can be inserted using LaTeX symbols (eg, $y=x^2+\epsilon$).
The information entered into the submission system will be edited and converted into a uniform LaTeX format by the Organising Committee for inclusion in the conference materials.
Following notification of acceptance, a contribution will be included in the final programme only if at least one presenting author completes registration and payment by the registration deadline. Each registered participant may normally present no more than one contributed oral presentation. Additional co-authored contributions may be presented by another registered co-author. If an accepted contribution is withdrawn or not confirmed by the registration deadline, the corresponding slot may be reassigned to another submission.
All accepted invited, contributed, and poster abstracts will be included in the electronic HDDA-XVI Book of Abstracts, provided that the presenting author has completed registration; the abstract satisfies the submission requirements; any requested corrections have been submitted by the relevant deadline.
Minor editorial changes may be made by the Organising Committee to ensure consistency in spelling, formatting, affiliations, and mathematical notation. Substantive changes will not be made without consulting the corresponding author.
